I’ve never put a flag up before - is it tricky?

Not at all! Our stackable carbon poles are designed to be super easy to set up. We include everything you need, along with a paper step-by-step instructions guide. Each flag takes just a couple of minutes to set up, and you can do it solo without any hassle.

We have videos showing an example of the set up here

Which poles should I use?

We have two different carbon stacking poles: a vertical pole and L-shaped pole. The vertical pole can we used for all flags, but in particular we would recommend using with the Ibiza flag. The L-shaped pole has a vertical arm across the top which opens flags up in non-windy conditions. It is available in two lengths. Our recommendations: Love (96cm arm), Raya (80cm arm), Nova (96cm arm), Rainbow (96cm arm), Sola (96cm arm) and Wave (80cm arm).

For stronger winds or longer events, we recommend using scaffolding poles with a rotating arm.

Which base should I choose: ground spike or car base?

Choose a ground spike for grass or soft ground. Choose a car base (or hardstanding base) for solid surfaces such as concrete, tarmac or event flooring. If you’re unsure, choose based on where you’ll place the flag on the day.

What does made from 100% recycled material mean?

All of our flags are made from 100% recycled material. This means that instead of the flags being woven from thread made of virgin (new) plastic, they are made from recycled, post-consumer plastic. Up to 15 plastic bottles are used per flag.

Are the flags and flag poles transportable?

Yes, the poles are light weight and break down into 1.5m lengths so can be carried. The poles come in a drawstring bag for ease.

Can I install the flags on concrete or another hard surface?

Where it is not possible to insert our ground spike into the ground, we recommend using our car base - this fits onto any of our poles and using a car to secure down, allows flag to be flown anywhere. Alternatively, using a strong and durable ratchet strap or cable tie attached to any secure upright object (for example a pole, post or fence) will also work.

Can the flags be displayed indoors?

All flags and bunting can be used indoors. For flags, we would recommend using the flag pole car base and weight with sand bags or similar. Alternatively, use cable ties and attach to an upright structure.

Will the flags leave damage to the ground after they have been taken out?

The ground spike leaves very little trace in the ground, just one 15mm diameter hole per flag. Alternatively, the car base leaves no trace whatsoever.

How can I clean the flags if one gets muddy?

In our unpredictable weather this can happen. The best way is to first take the flag down (carefully). Once down you can sponge it off with warm soapy water or if it is seriously dirty then remove the flag from the pole and immerse it fully in warm soapy water. Then air dry before packing away for the next event.

Can there be too much wind?

Our flags are tested to perform in wind speeds of up to 20 mph which is stringer than the average. If a really really big storm does blow then the flags may need to be taken down and laid flat until after the weather has calmed. There is no need to remove the ground spikes so setting them up again is not as much work as the initial install.
